6 Tips to Increase Gas Mileage




With spring and summer coming up why spend more money on gas than you have to? Instead you can you put that money saved towards summer activities! Here are 6 simple tips to help increase your gas mileage:

  • Tune-Up: Keep your car properly tuned to improve gas mileage by an average of 4 percent.
  • Tire Pressure: Keep tires properly inflated and improve gas mileage by up to 3.3 percent.
  • Motor Oil: Improve gas mileage by 1 to 2 percent by using the grade of motor oil recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Air Filters: Replacing clogged air filters on older vehicles can improve fuel economy and will improve performance and acceleration on all vehicles.
  • Gas Cap: Damaged, loose or missing gas caps allow gas to vaporize into the air.
  • Fix It: Addressing a serious maintenance problem, like a faulty oxygen sensor, can significantly improve mileage.

Scion Roadster Concept






The first pictures of the Scion FR-S roadster concept have hit the web.

Recently revealed in California, the model features a short windscreen, a massive 

spoiler and a sporty rear deck lid. There's also tinted headlights, a rear diffuser and a 

bespoke interior.

Official specifications haven't been released, but the model likely uses a 2.0-liter four-

cylinder boxer engine with 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) of torque.





[UPDATE] The FRS Roadster is a one-off build by Cartel Customs. It features an 

upgraded clutch, exhaust, and suspension, Wilwood brakes, 18x8 and 18x9.5 

front/rear wheels, custom fenders and hood, a 61-inch carbon fiber wing, custom paint 

and a fully custom interior. The FR-S Speedster will drive parade laps during the 


opening ceremonies at the Long Beach Grand Prix in California next week.
